Empire of Lust is the forth book in standalone romance series of Empire. It was a deeply emotional story, which I enjoyed.
I couldn’t give it five stars because I don’t really enjoy second chance romances as they just make me feel way too sad for the lost time and all the pain that the characters have to go trough, it makes me feel regret, disappointment and deep pain. But at the same time it was also what made this book so deeply emotional for me and it’s a big plus for a fiction story, in my opinion. The more the book makes me feel, the higher star rating it may receive from me.
There was banter, angst, steam, strong emotions, suspense, danger, a lot of pain, hate, a bit of romance as well and some fun moments. If you are looking for an emotional read with hate-to-love and second chance tropes then this book is for you!
I recommend Empire of Lust as you can never go wrong with any of Rina Kent’s stories. She knows how to hook you, and keep you engaged from the first page till the last.
