Friday Face Off meme and Book Blogger Hop – March 27, 2020

Dear book-lovers,

It’s time for Friday Face Off. This meme was created by Books by Proxy and now is hosted by Lynn’s Books. Now let’s take a look at the rules: This is a great opportunity to feature some of your favourite book covers. Each week, following a predetermined theme (list below) choose a book (this doesn’t have to be a book that you’ve read), compare a couple of the different covers available for that particular book and choose your favourite one out of them. Keep in mind that the themes are open to interpretation, so just enjoy yourself. This week’s theme:

Freebie – choose one of your favourite covers

So this is actually one of the hardest choices to be made. There are sooo many gorgeous covers out there. Therefore, instead of choosing one of my favourite covers, I’m choosing my favourite author’s book series with one of my favourite covers as well. Otherwise this would have been impossible task for me.

This week I’m featuring covers from a YA fantasy romance The Remnant Chronicles by Mary E. Pearson.

The Kiss of Deception (#1) English version 1 and 2 / The Kiss of Deception (#1) – Polish

the kiss of deception  the kiss of deception 2  the kiss of deception 3

The Kiss of Deception (#1) – Chinese / The Beauty of Darkness (#3) – English / German

the kiss of deception 4  the beauty of darkness  the beauty of darkness 2

The Heart of Betrayal (#2) English version 1 and 2 / The Heart of Betrayal (#2) – Turkish

the heart of betrayal  the heart of betrayal 2  the heart of betrayal 5

The Heart of Betrayal (#2) – German / Russian / Polish

the heart of betrayal 3  the heart of betrayal 6  the heart of betrayal 4

I love them all especially the covers of first and third books. But I’m a bit struggling to choose between first English cover of The Kiss of Deception (#1), German cover of The Beauty of Darkness (#3) and Russian cover of The Heart of Betrayal (#2).

But the winner of this Friday Face Off and my favourite cover is:

the kiss of deception

Which one of these nine covers do you like the best?

Next week’s (April Fools 3) theme is: a trick of the eye – a cover that is more than meets the eye

Future themes:
April 10 – Moody – a cover that is atmospheric,
April 17 – out of focus – double vision or all a blur
April 24 – Armour – “Pretty armour doesn’t make a warrior”

book blogger hopBook Blogger Hop, which was originally created by Jennifer @Crazy-For-Books in March 2010 and ended on December 31, 2012. It was relaunched on February 15, 2013 by Billy @Coffee-Addicted-Writer . Each week the hop starts on Friday and ends the following Thursday. There is a weekly prompt featuring a book related question. The hop’s purpose is to give bloggers a chance to follow other blogs, learn about new books, befriend other bloggers, and receive new followers to your own blog. March 27 – April 2 the question submitted by Elizabeth @ Silver’s Reviews..

Question/Prompt: Share a photo of one section of your bookshelf randomly selected or go ahead and share the entire bookshelf.

My answer:

This is a tiny but my favourite part of one of my new bookshelves, and I just did feature three of the books from this picture on my Friday-Face-Off part of this post as well 😍

Thank you for visiting! Please let me know in comments, which one of these nine covers is your favourite. Have you read The Remnant Chronicles by Mary E. Pearson? If not then just go and do it! 😉

Happy reading,
