We were only kids when I met him.

My stalker, savior, the man who protected me from all the evil in the world.

I should’ve trusted him, believed him when he told me he was only trying to keep my safe.

I thought the worst was behind me.

Little did I know the worst was yet to come.

Kidnapped by a man capable of the worst kind of evil I’m thrust into a dark and dangerous world where blood and wealth are the only things that matter.

I’m a pawn in the war for power.

The man I was desperate to escape from is now the only one that can save me.

I’ll do anything to be back in his arms.

He saved me once, he’ll do it again.

The only thing is, when the dust settles and all the truths are revealed will we be standing side by side?

And what happens when I find I wasn’t just meant to be in this world.

I was meant to run it…

***This is a continuation of Cruel Obsession and is NOT a standalone.***

“And what do you deserve?”

“Nothing. Not even you, but that doesn’t mean I’ll give you up. I will still have you. Whether I deserve you or not.”

Deadly Obsession is a second book in this duet and it was addictive and captivating, exhilarating and heart-stopping, swoony and blood chilling, romantic and violent, dark and exciting. I just couldn’t put it down till I devoured all of it in one sitting.

“You came for me…”

“Of course.” Does she doubt I would have? She should know the extent of my obsession by now. “No matter what happens, I’ll always come for you. I’ll move heaven and hell to make sure you’re safe. You’re my number one and always have been. Nothing will ever change that. I love you, Dove. Always…”

Zane and Dove’s relationship became so much more than what it was in the first book. It was beautiful, it was heart-breaking, it was sweet, it was steamy hot, and it was possessive and twisted.

“Maybe I don’t want to be saved anymore. Maybe I need to be the one to do the saving,” I reply hoarsely.

There is something so pure, so heartwarming about the way he looks at me then. Like I’m his entire world, and he is the moon forever circling around me.

“That will never happen with me by your side. I was put on this earth to protect you, and I will do so until the moment I take my last breath.”

I felt anxiety almost all through the book, I was on the edge of my seat and my heart was working over time with beating like crazy while trapped in my chest, just because I couldn’t stop caring about what is going to happen next. It was full of suspense, danger and darkness. This was an intense and very emotional read.

Going to them might get me killed, but it’s a risk I’m willing to take if there is even a chance that I’ll be able to save Dove. I’ll make any deal; kill anyone they want. There is nothing that I won’t do, no one I won’t hurt. I have to get her back. I have to save her.

And the best part was receiving one gift after another from these wonderful authors, because they made my wishes came true. 🥳 I got a chance to see my favourite characters from Rossi Crime Family series again. 😍 I was so excited that I even did some embarrassingly loud squeaking and smiled from one ear to the other. I can’t remember the last time I was so over excited while reading a book.

When it comes to being an *a-hole, Damon is the worst of the Rossi brothers. Xander might be ruthless and heartless, but Damon is completely different can of worms.

This book had it all and I loved it. There was action and bloody violence. There was romance and deep love. There was danger and the dark world of mafia. There were some hot and sexy scenes, some swoony moments and some heart-wrecking parts. There was obsessive and possessive anti-hero and strong heroine who captured my heart.

I don’t know how this meeting is going to end. I just hope that after everything we’ve been through, that Zane and I can walk away in one piece.

There were many twists and turns happening during this wild ride of emotions. Even though I saw all of them coming, I still believe that they were great twists. Here you can see some of my reactions, while reading this amazing book.

reactions, while reading deadly obsession

If there is anything I’ve learned from this last month, it’s that the only constant in my life has been Zane. My stalker, and me, his obsession.

This story was another of their usual trademark books that I loved, where light and darkness were intertwined into a little bit twisted but epic romance.
