Dear book-lover,
I know I’m a bit late for this yearly wrap up for 2019, but better late than never 😉 2019 was a busy year for me, however, I managed to squeeze in reading every free moments I got a chance (basically every single night), so I read 184 books and 52,627 pages (according to Goodreads). Not bad at all, as I started with goal of 80 books, and later on switched to 100 books, but at the end I read combination of both goals 🙈

Statistics
So as I mentioned at the beginning I read 182 books and 52,627 pages, and DNFed about 10 books.
The best reading months (in amount of books and pages read) for me were March, July, and February but the least productive months were August and November.
The best quality reading month was June, as I read only books that I loved or liked a lot, and April was the worth quality book month, as I read way too many books that I didn’t like just during time of one month.
Fantasy and Sci-Fi – 71 books
Contemporary Romance – 100 books
Historical Romance – 10 books
These included 20 dark romances and 12 reverse harem books
Poetry – 1 book
Adult – 76 books
New Adult – 51 books
Young Adult – 54 books
Middle Grade – 1 book
The number of books for star rating comes from my Goodreds read shelf, where we have only 5 different options for rating. However, I do rate with half and quarter stars, so for Goodreads I just have to decide to which rating it belongs more.
5 star-reads (includes also 4.75* and a few 4.5*) – 21 books
4 star-reads (includes also 4.5*, 4.25*, 3.75* and some 3.5*) – 91 books
3 star-reads (includes also 3.5* and 2.75* and a few 2.5*) – 52 books
2 star-reads (includes also 2.5* and 2.25*) – 14 books
1 star-reads (includes also 1.75* and 1.5*) – 4 books
DNF reads – about 10 books
So here you go my yearly wrap up of 2019. I hope 2020 will be even better year. I hope to read more poetry and middle grade books this year, and find some more historical romance authors that I could enjoy reading. I loved or liked a lot over 100 books and didn’t like that much only about 30 books, so I would say that it was a good reading year. Check out my favourite authors of 2019 here.
Thanks for stopping by! Let’s chat: How many books did you read in 2019? How many 5 star-reads did you have? Did you reach your reading goal? Which was your most productive and least productive reading month?
Happy reading,
Lady of Bookland
148 books?! That’s insane! I barely managed 100 and even then that was with me reading a 26 page book on NYE 😂
There looks like so many amazing romance books on this list, too. Will definitely have to add some onto my TBR.
Hope you’re having an incredible time reading this year too!

Thank you! I’m not the biggest fan of contemporary romances, but R.S. Grey, Lauren Layne, J. Nathan, Ryan Ringbloom, Penelope Douglas and Mimi Matthews just do the best job. So I would love to find more authors who write like these ladies 🙂 Hope you are enjoying your reading this year as well! And I hope you pick up one of these books and love them as much as I did 🙂
