First Lines Fridays / Book Beginnings on Fridays – January 25, 2019

Dear book-lovers,
There are two similar Friday book memes, so I’m doing both of them here in one post, which basically means, that I’m sharing with you the first lines of the book that I’m currently reading. Book Beginnings on Fridays is hosted @ Rose City Reader – Share the first sentence of the book you are reading along with your thoughts and impressions. And First Lines Fridays @ Wandering Words – Pick a book, open to the first page and share a few lines without spoilers and without revealing what the book is, then reveal the book.

Just a few moments ago I finished reading this book, I’m not going to share the first line from kind of like epilogue place, because it could spoil the first book of this duology. So instead I’ll share the first line from the first chapter of this YA fantasy romance:

When I wake, my hands are covered in blood.

This line made me intrigued and ready to return to this magical and a bit dark world. Danger, loss, love and magic can be found in the pages of this book. There are mysteries, secrets and lost memories to be uncovered.

But let’s not keep you waiting any longer, so this first lines come from …

What book are you reading at the moment? Feel free to share the first line and the name of the book in comments!

Happy reading,

    1. I enjoyed this book, but it was hard for me to get into the story at the beginning, however, the best part of this book was the last few chapters, those were amazing. After you read it, let me know your thoughts 😉
