First Lines Fridays / Book Beginnings on Fridays – January 18, 2019

Dear book-lovers,
There are two similar Friday book memes, so I’m doing both of them here in one post, which basically means, that I’m sharing with you the first lines of the book that I’m currently reading. Book Beginnings on Fridays is hosted @ Rose City Reader – Share the first sentence of the book you are reading along with your thoughts and impressions. And First Lines Fridays @ Wandering Words – Pick a book, open to the first page and share a few lines without spoilers and without revealing what the book is, then reveal the book.

So here is the first lines from the book that I’m reading at the moment:

The silence was compassionate, but it came off as oppressive. I wished people had kept talking when I arrived.

I have big hopes and high expectations for this YA paranormal romance, which include one of my favourite paranormal/supernatural creatures – fae. The same time I loved this author’s other book that I read recently, so expectations, expectations, expectations… For now, I think that this book has added a unique spin on faeries and faerie hunters. I’m intrigued and want to find out more about this world.

But let’s not keep you waiting any longer, so this first lines come from …
