Welcome to WWW Wednesday! This meme is hosted by Taking on a World of Words. The idea of this meme is to answer three W questions, which are:
What are you currently reading?
What did you recently finish reading?
What do you think you’ll read next?
I’m still struggling with The Rules of Persuasion by Amity Hope as I got really bored before hitting 70% mark in the story, but last week I managed to get till 80% and then just gave up and put it down for some other time. However, I’m still planing to finish this book by the end of summer 😉 Today I started reading Royals by Rachel Hawkins. I must admit I’m not yet sure on whether this will be a hit or a miss for me. As I very much enjoyed her Hex Hall series but was fiercely disappointed in Rebel Belle series. So at the moment I have read 6 chapters in Royals and I hope it’ll pick up speed and get some more angst, fun or swoon or just something more interesting than what the story has offered so far.
I have managed to read only one book so far due to getting stuck with the book mentioned above. Oh… Awww… But this book was something, just perfect for New Adult book readers. So, I won’t torture you any longer and reveal the book that made me swoon, smile and just simply feel happy because I could return to my favourite college and its hockey players – The Chase (Briar U, #1) by Elle Kennedy. The Chase is the first book in spin-off series of the Off-Campus Series, which I loved, especially, it’s first book. They were steamy, funny and just such a guilty-pleasure to enjoy. Each book tackles different serious life issues in respectable and thoughtful manner but at the same time they are light, fun, sexy, realistic and romantic stories. You can read any of these books as standalones but I would just advise to read them all in provided order in Goodreads, as that way you will get the most out of them as in any case you must read them all 😉 Elle Kennedy is just a wonderfully perfect and one of my favourite NA authors.
Again this impossible question… I can never say which book I’m going to be in the mood for. There is only one thing that I can say for sure that till the end of summer I’m going to read only contemporary romances. I guess next could be Fangirl or Eleanor & Park by Rainbow Rowell, as I still haven’t read these books but I feel like I have to get to them this year and advisably by the end of summer or otherwise I won’t read them because I have such a huge fantasy book TBR list that I can’t wait to read but I’m waiting till the 1st of September to start munching on them, those my most anticipated books of this year 🙂
