Can’t-Wait Wednesday (August 15, 2018) – Seafire by Natalie C. Parker

Dear book-lovers,

Can’t-Wait Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted at Wishful Endings, to spotlight and discuss the books we’re excited about that we have yet to read. Generally they’re books that have yet to be released. It’s based on Waiting on Wednesday, hosted by Jill at Breaking the Spine.

This week I’m bringing spot-light to a YA fantasy book that intrigues me with pirate adventures  – Seafire (Seafire #1) by Natalie C. Parker. What else should I know? I’m pretty sure that the pirate adventure sold it completely. However, the biggest plus of this book is the fact that there will be a bunch of girl pirates. Jo-ho-ho 😀

Expected publication is August 28th 2018 and here is the synopsis from Goodreads:

seafireAfter her family is killed by corrupt warlord Aric Athair and his bloodthirsty army of Bullets, Caledonia Styx is left to chart her own course on the dangerous and deadly seas. She captains her ship, the Mors Navis, with a crew of girls and women just like her, whose lives have been turned upside down by Aric and his men. The crew has one misson: stay alive, and take down Aric’s armed and armored fleet.

But when Caledonia’s best friend and second-in-command just barely survives an attack thanks to help from a Bullet looking to defect, Caledonia finds herself questioning whether or not to let him join their crew. Is this boy the key to taking down Aric Athair once and for all…or will he threaten everything the women of the Mors Navis have worked for?

Mmm-hmm, just give me this book already, so I can be part of this sisterhood of pirates and have some great and dangerous adventures and sword-fights 😉

Which book can’t you wait to read or to be released? Are you looking forward to read Seafire? Also, you can share your Can’t Wait Wednesday post’s link in comments 🙂

Happy reading,
